Dear Friends. Hosmer- Lemeshow test of fit in logistic regression seems easy enough to program, but anyway: is it already available and is it the right thing to do as such ? Can one have a reasonable fit by such a tests and even then a lousy model with severe dispersion problems ? Apart from comparing likelihoods or AICs when changing models is there any generally recommendable procedures available to test fit ? Perhaps people could answer to me and I could summarize so not to clutter the list too much ?
