Hello: I have just used prompt() in R1.0.1, NT4.0, to make a file called myfun.Rd, in my %R_HOME%\bin subdirectory, then tried converting the .rd file to HTML using the Rdconv.bat, as follows: Rdconv --type=html myfun.Rd The message that I got was cat: cannot open ** where ** is some unintelligible character. It looks like a Perl problem to me (I''ve just installed ActivePerl 5.6.0.613 today) Perl is definitely in my path. I have set R_HOME=D:\Progra~1\Rw1001. Can anyone tell me what I''m doing wrong in trying to convert to HTML? thanks in advance. To use these you must have R_HOME set as an environment variable (using the form P:/R/rw1001). Please try using that form (/ not \). -- Brian D. To use Rdconv.bat you need a Unix-compatible `cat'' program, for example the one in tools.zip on CRAN. I will try to eliminate this dependency for 1.1.0, but for now that is the workaround. -- Brian D.
