Hello, I've been using the KernSmooth package recently and think I have found a problem with it: after loading the library I can issue bkde(c(27,26,27), bandwidth=dpik(c(27,26,27)), range.x=c(4.4, 113.6), gridsize=128, truncate=T) and bkde returns an error. If I change the gridsize to 129 the function works perfectly. I have tried this on my Linux box, and on a nearby Solaris machine, both give an error (but not quite the same one). In case anyone is wondering how I came across these values they are just taken from a set which just happened to crash the routine. This probably isn't an urgent problem as we have the workround above. Thanks, Dave. ******************************************************************** Dr. David Lucy Department of Archaeological Sciences University of Bradford Bradford West Yorkshire BD7 1DP UK tel. +44 01274 233556 fax. +44 01274 235190 ******************************************************************** -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
