R help - Sep 1998 - R-beta: LaTeX documentation

I have compiled and installed 0.62.3 on Solaris and would 
appreciate help on how can print LaTeX versions of manual files. 

Previously it was possible to have full LaTeX documentation, now
it is not obvious to me how to do this.

Type
	make dvi	
				from the top level directory

or	 make Man.dvi 
or	 make Man.ps
or even  make Manbooks		after  cd doc/manual/
			{{the latter is somewhat experimental, working only
			  if you have  psbook & pstops 
			   and is for 2-sided printing when you want to get an
			   A5 (= half of A4 = non-US standard paper) folded
			   two-sided "book"}}
