I was going to swot up on data storage models before I got involved, but
Todd's suggestion for local replacement functions (i.e. capitalize the
function name) has to get a vote. This seems to have considerable
precedent, and would tend to better integrate R with common programming
conventions, which makes it a lot easier for incoming users to
understand.
