The R-exts manual still says Note also that for running @LaTeX{}, the Debian @acronym{GNU}/Linux @acronym{CRAN} check systems use the Debian TeXLive at footnote{currently the long obsolete TeXLive 2009.} distribution (@uref{http://packages.debian.org/@/en/@/sid/@/texlive}); the Fedora and and what is in the footnote has not been true for quite some time as a visit to the URL (or to the even more detailed http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/t/texlive-base/texlive-base_2012.20120611-5/changelog will attest. In Debian, Texlive 2011 arrived last March, Texlive 2012 a little later and is also current on Ubuntu. So I suggest to use something like Note also that for running @LaTeX{}, the Debian @acronym{GNU}/Linux, Fedora and Solaris check systems on @acronym{CRAN} use current TexLive; Thanks, Dirk -- Dirk Eddelbuettel | edd at debian.org | http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com
