Dear All, I am writing to ask if you would please test our first public release of Rcgi, a CGI WWW interface to R. We've added a few new tricks to what has gone before, the most interesting of which is the ability to use "embedded code": you can mix user input and code, allowing the HTML author to do anything from load in data sets to enter most of the commands for users without writing CGI scripts. Graphical output is possible in PostScript or GIF formats and the executed code is presented to the user for revision. A demonstration and download is available from http://www.mth.uea.ac.uk/~h089/Rcgi/ We're especially interested in any comments, suggestions or improvements that you may have. The software requires - R (prefer 0.61 or later) - Perl 5 - gzip tools - Ghostscript (for GIF output) - NetPBM (for GIF output) - A CGI-enabled web server (eg Apache) -- Mark.
