[LLVMdev] 2.1 Pre-Release Available (testers needed)
...port). I tried to do this, but ran into trouble. LLVM itself compiled fine. GCC compilation is broken when Java support is enabled. I can file a detailed bug report if anyone cares about this. When I restricted it to just C and C++, it compiled fine. I couldn't get the test suite to run: mth at starbug-3:~/src/llvm-test-2.1> CXX=llvm-g++ ./configure --with-llvmsrc=/home/mth/src/llvm-2.1 --with-llvmobj=/home/mth/src/llvm-2.1 [...] mth at starbug-3:~/src/llvm-test-2.1> make TEST=nightly report make -j1 TEST=nightly 2>&1 | tee report.nightly.raw.out make[1]: Entering direct...

Now I want to see if there are differences in method pe...

unload memdisk+FreeDOS => local boot
Sensei H. Peter Anvin, I have successfully modified/enhanced memdisk so that one can chainload a local operating system after running diskless FreeDOS. I would like your advice regarding the appropriate interface for invoking this functionality. In addition, I would like to know what steps to take so that you feel comfortable considering including this in the standard syslinux distribution.

How to get LSMEANS from linear mixed model?
Hi there, I am trying to run simulations using R with linear mixed model (lme). There are two factors in my fixed effect model, educ (treatment and control) and mth (visit 1, 2, and 3). What I want to obtain is the estimated treatment difference (treatment - control) at visit 3, plus the standard error and p-value. This can be easily obtained in SAS using lsmeans or estimate statements, but I am not sure how to do this in R. The fixed effects I obtained a...

...some problems. I am following the instruction of the model, that they are in: http://bm2.genes.nig.ac.jp/RGM2/R_current/library/tsDyn/man/star.html that they are from: http://bm2.genes.nig.ac.jp/RGM2/pkg.php?p=tsDyn The model is: star(x, m=2, noRegimes, d = 1, steps = d, series, rob = FALSE, mTh, thDelay, thVar, sig=0.05, trace=TRUE, control=list(), ...) I have implemented the example: mod.star <- star(log10(lynx), m=2, mTh=c(0,1), control=list(maxit=3000)) mod.star However, when I put my variables from my data.frame, R does not find my variables, so, for this reason I have try to...

There are 20,000 individual responses that I would like to aggregate into numbers of each category (i.e. 0/1) by group called dn (350 different groups) and by month mth (there are several hundred responses per month. Summary ======= I have a recommendation for a minor documentation change regarding 'keeppxe'. Problem with indexing
...sons I have a matrix (different for each person) with m rows. What I want to do, is create m new data sets such that the first is made up of the first row for each person from the original matrices, the second contains the second row for each person from the original matrices etc etc up to the mth new set containing the mth row from the original matrices for each person. Say the original matrix for each person can be indexed by xfinal.list[[i]] I want to extract for each person in turn, the jth row, i.e. xfinal.list[[i]][j,] then bind these n vectors into a new matrix. I am a little con...

[LLVMdev] Appending linkage
...the end of the array. Calculating the array size would be a simple matter of subtracting the pointer to the end from the pointer to the beginning. However, this does not work. The GEP always behaves as if it were operating on the array before appending - so the GEP gives you back a pointer to the Mth element, not the NxMth element. Note that I also tried just GEP (1), which gives a similar result, although I would expect it not to work at all, since pointers are only supposed to be dereferenced with an index of 0. When I look at the generated bitcode, I see that the appended array does indeed...
