Puppet users - Sep 2014 - How to make puppet *fail* on "Unable to fetch my node definition, but the agent run will continue" ?

So right now, puppet is doing this because of DNS issues:

I know how to fix the underlying problem, but what I would like is
for puppet to *NOT* continue after the first line.  I would like it
to loudly bail and exit immediately, because all that trying takes a
long time (minutes) that I'd prefer my automation spend doing
something else, like alarming me about the problem.
