Puppet users - Aug 2014 - Trying to install the Dashboard on Ubuntu 14

Hi.

I've been following the instructions on the puppetlabs website but can't
get the Dashboard going.
I can connect to the main port 8140 page and get:
*The environment must be purely alphanumeric, not ''*

So, it's installed and working. However, I cannot connect to the port 443 
dashboard as it wasn't installed as a VirtualHost by default.
*SSL connection error*

root@puppet:/usr/share/puppet# dpkg -i /root/puppetlabs-release-trusty.deb

I also performed an *apt-get update* without any luck.

libmysqlclient-dev libopenssl-ruby mysql-server rake rdoc ri ruby ruby-dev

Note, selecting 'ruby' instead of 'irb'

Package libopenssl-ruby is not available, but is referred to by another 
package.

E: Package 'libopenssl-ruby' has no installation candidate

I have the Universe source installed for my platform but having a lot of 
trouble.  Are the instructions on the Puppetlabs website out of date?

root@puppet:/usr/share/puppetmaster-passenger# ls
apache2.site.conf.tmpl

This file only has the config VirtualHost for the port 8140 application.

root@puppet:/usr/share/puppetmaster-passenger# ls /usr/share/puppet/ext/

Do I have to install the Dashboard from tarball now? Which version?
