[Puppet Users] 1st Swiss Puppet Users Group meeting - February the 18th - Berne, Switzerland

It will take place on Thursday, February the 18th at 7 PM. The idea is to kick off meetings on a regular basis at different locations within Switzerland to exchange, learn, discuss and have fun. So stay tuned for further events. cu there! cheers pete ### Thursday, February the 18th, 2010, 7 PM - Eigerplatz 4, Berne The Swiss Puppet User Group, short SPUG, have been coined to give puppet-users and developers in Switzerland a platform to meet and discuss. To finally kick off this idea, we will meet on Thursday the 18th of February a first time. We''d like to clear the way to meet regularly in the future at different member''s locations. The first meeting will take place in the premises of Puzzle ITC at the Eigerplatz 4 in Berne. You find a map here [1]. In a informal atmosphere with snacks and drinks, we''d like to listen to some lightning talks around puppet. We will gather around 7 PM at the Eigerplatz 4 in the fifth level. The event is open to everybody interested - simply show up and have fun! The following lightning talks have so far been announced: * An Approach to Proper Module Organization * Transport Layer Encryption using the Puppet PKI and IPsec * Dealing with Passwords and Private Keys in Manifests * Managing Mac Workstations with Puppet * local.ch and memonic.com Managed by Puppet * Setting up iptables Rules using Puppet If you''re interested in giving a short, 5 to 10 minutes, presentation about where and how you use puppet or you''d like anything special to show, your invited to give a spontaneous talk.
