Pkg exim4 users - Jul 2007 - Re : main option bounce_message_file doesn''t work with Exim4 in Debian

Dear Marc,

Here the details of what is happening :

Scheme :
- I send an email from myname1 at free.fr to relayatfree at free.fr
- fetchmail retrieves relayatfree at free.fr and forwards localy to
myname2 at mycompany.com
- note : I do a backup of every outgoing mail (R=LocalBackup_router
T=LocalBackup_transport), this is the way I really see what the bounce
mail looks like (Mail delivery failure...)

Ok, this is a bounce generated by exim.

And this is your correct configuration.

It could be a bug in exim that bouncemessage is not honored by exim
when SA-Exim rejects a message. Does your exim honor your
bouncemessage for a different bounce, such as "unknown user"?

I am afraid that I run out of ideas.
