[Bug 2344] New: -q suppresses too much
https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2344
Bug ID: 2344
Summary: -q suppresses too much
Product: Portable OpenSSH
Version: 6.6p1
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: ssh
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org
Reporter: heas at shrubbery.net
-q Quiet mode. Causes most warning and diagnostic messages to be
suppressed.
But it also suppresses fatal errors, such as Connection Refused,
Connection closed by remote host, Permission denied, etc.
It would be more appropriate for -q to be equivalent to "LogLevel
ERROR".
There is a similar PR open with Debian.
Thanks
