Re: S10 (05/08) vs SNV_98 stubdom install at Xen 3.3 CentOS 5.2 Dom0 (64-bit)
During install in stub domain F9,CentOS 5.X load "ata_piix" driver exactly as on old S478 Intel Boards. Compare with CR 6650131 i see same errors when loading SNV_79,SNV_98 in stub domain : ******************************************************************************************* Configuring /dev ata_command: BSY too long!DRDY 0x1 CMD 0xe0 F 0x0 N 0x0 S 0x0 H 0x0 CL 0x0 CH 0x0 ****************************************************************************************** Dell 4550 mentined in CR 6650131 has board described at:- http://www.ascendtech.us/itemdesc.asp?ic=MB4DELJ0592 * Support for an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor in a mPGA478 socket with a 400/533 MHz system bus * Support for an Intel® Celeron® processor in a mPGA478 socket with a 400 MHz system bus * Intel® 845PE Chipset * Two Parallel ATA IDE interfaces with UDMA 33, ATA-66/100 support My guess would be , that current Nevada Builds won't install on Intel S478 boards with mentioned ATA specs, no matter of PC been build on the board with Intel S478. (years 2000-2002). However , Solaris 10 will. Unfortunately, i don't have any Intel S478 board to test. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ xen-discuss mailing list xen-discuss@opensolaris.org

I had to replace IDE drive to be able perform complete test and proceed to deployment phase.Entering deployment phase i get message "No hard drive found". -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ xen-discuss mailing list xen-discuss@opensolaris.org
