Xend will not start, prints ominous sounding error at boot
...s so I''m not *sure* if that correlates but it seems suspicious in my mind. Any thoughts on what''s going on here? Better still, any way to fix things? The backing store for the windows install is a zvol ("localpool/xvm/winxp"). I''m getting ready to install snv_79... would an upgrade install fix things up? I''m assuming a full reinstall would fix it. Thanks in advance! -Peter

For this reason I doubt such a read throughput could have been reached pre-snv_79 because checksum verification/calculation only became multithreaded in snv_79 and after.) -marc

confusion and frustration with zpool
I have a zpool which has grown "organically". I had a 60Gb disk, I added a 120, I added a 500, I got a 750 and sliced it and mirrored the other pieces. The 60 and the 120 are internal PATA drives, the 500 and 750 are Maxtor OneTouch USB drives. The original system I created the 60+120+500 pool on was Solaris 10 update 3, patched to use ZFS sometime last fall (November I believe). In
