OCFS2 requires a block device (local disk, direct attached, SAN), so it's not going to work with a NAS (Samba, NFS, etc) mount. You can, of course, share a OCFS2 filesystem using Samba or NFS. You did not mention the SR#. But from the wording it appears the analyst asked you to disable nfs to see if that was the cause of the problem.
