For the 2nd problem, on node 5, I tried the following:
$ rmdir hotbackup
rmdir: `hotbackup': Directory not empty
$ ls -ldi hotbackup/
266133504 drwxr-xr-x 1 oracle dba 131072 Dec 14 15:46 hotbackup/
Now this folder is back! Strange!

"curr_master=INVALID_MASTER". My question is: Is this a serious
problem? Is it Ok to ignore this message?

nodes (db1,db2,db3,db4) can see these directories, but db5 node just could not
