Hi, I'm trying to find, & set up a compatable driver for a Tripp-Lite OMNI1500LCDT ups. Not having any luck with tripplite_usb, or usbhid-ups. Running nut 2.6.2-1 on Fedora 14. Installed from package. Suggestions? Dick Lawson [root at Muleyputer ~]# upsdrvctl start Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.6.2 Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.35 (2.6.2) USB communication driver 0.31 This TrippLite device (09ae:3016) is not (or perhaps not yet) supported by usbhid-ups. Please make sure you have an up-to-date version of NUT. If this does not fix the problem, try running the driver with the '-x productid=3016' option. Please report your results to the NUT user's mailing list <nut-upsuser at lists.alioth.debian.org>. No matching HID UPS found Driver failed to start (exit status=1) [root at Muleyputer ~]# -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... What happened when you tried this option? -- Charles Lepple clepple at gmail

What if you try: /lib/nut/usbhid-ups -a name-of-ups -u root -x productid=3016> Will 2.7.1 run on Fedora 14?Not sure, I tend not to use RPM-based systems myself. We have a Fedora autobuilder, but that only checks whether the code compiles. Please keep replies on the list. Hopefully someone else from the list can answer that - maybe Fedora has a backports system?> Dick > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Charles Lepple <clepple at gmail.com> > To: Muley <muley at mtida.net> > Subject: Re: [Nut-upsuser] compatable driver > Date: Fri, 7 Feb 2014 21:25:52 -0500 > > On Feb 7, 2014, at 12:57 PM, Muley wrote: > > > This TrippLite device (09ae:3016) is not (or perhaps not yet) supported > > by usbhid-ups.
