All, I just had a power failure that caused me a little drama. This spurred me into trying to get NUT up on my cyberpower 1500 again. For about 6 months I tried to get it to work with the new power panel drive with no luck. Today I removed all the old files for NUT and installed the newest version I could find (2.4.3) and it works perfectly now with my UPS. Hopefully now I shouldn't have a problem with my network, but I wanted to say thank you to the developers who worked on the drivers, and to everyone who has worked on NUT since in the past with other brands of UPS's that I have used, this program has been wonderful. Which driver did you use? Serial or USB? Thanks, Charles

Serial or USB?The powerpanel driver is serial only, although the usbhid-ups driver does support some Cyberpower devices through USB. Best regards, Arjen -- Please keep list traffic on the list

Have an 2200Value here as well, but that's connected to a windows box now, but that ran fine with NUT as well. Both use the usb-hid-ups driver. //Svein -- --------+-------------------+------------------------------- /"\ |Svein Skogen | svein at d80.iso100.no \ / |Solberg ?stli 9 | PGP Key: 0xE5E76831 X |2020 Skedsmokorset | svein at jernhuset.no / \ |Norway | PGP Key: 0xCE96CE13 | | svein at stillbilde.net ascii | | PGP Key: 0x58CD33B6 ribbon |System Admin | svein-listmail at stillbilde.net Campaign|stillbilde.net | PGP Key: 0x22D494A4 +-------------------+------------------------------- |msn messenger: | Mobile Phone: +47 907 03 575 |svein at jernhuset.no | RIPE handle: SS16503-RIPE --------+-------------------+------------------------------- If you really are in a hurry, mail me at svein-mobile at stillbilde.net This mailbox goes directly to my cellphone and is checked even when I'm not in front of my computer. ------------------------------------------------------------ Picture Gallery: https://gallery.stillbilde.net/v/svein/ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Other than that, rock solid on the serial cable. ~Seann -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... hi, could you say which driver you specified in ups.conf for the 1500 AVR over serial? ie. cyberpower, power panel, or something else? I may be going there real soon :) thanks
Also, could you say how old your Cyberpower 1500 AVR UPS is? thanks

The UPS I have is about three and a half years old. ~Seann -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
