Hello folks, I have a question regarding a sweex product. Its bundled with UPSmart v 2.12. I installed nut accordingly to the user manual included in the software. A quick check of data/drivers.list revealed to me i should use the: "Sweex" "500/1000" "contact closure - shipped with UPSmart" "genericups upstype=7" driver this driver loads just fine. I also checked the other sweex's drivers they won't load. However ups.status always returns LB OB. Its connected to mains and on a windows station the battery reports about 88% full. The manual : OL means your system is running on line power. If it says something else (like OB - on battery, or LB - low battery), your driver was probably misconfigured in step 7. If you reconfigure the driver, use 'upsdrvctl stop' to stop it, then start it again in step 8. The manual states i should go on with reconfiguring step 8 however this didn't help me.. since i don't know what driver to pick. The fact that the driver is reporting "OB LB" may also mean nothing is connected to the port. Best regards, Arjen

Can you list the output of 'upsc' (see 'man upsc') to see what variables are supported and if the output looks right to you? Preferably with the contents of 'ups.conf' too, to see if any parameters need to be passed there?> If your still interested in the serial logging output i will be glad to > offer it to you.We don't need the serial logging anymore now that you've found a suitable driver. Apparently Sweex has switched over to yet another supplier (and monitoring software) for the 1000VA model, again without changing documentation (so that's lagging two versions behind now). I can't say I'm surprised. What we would like to know is as much information as possible on the labeling on the UPS and the software that came with it (although I guess there is not much more to tell about the latter) so that we can list this in the compatibility list. Best regards, Arjen
