I noticed that you didn't tag the 2.4.3 release. Do you remember which  
SVN revision you used for generating the tarball?

Do we still have a use for the older -pre releases by the way? Having  
tags for the older releases is probably a good idea, but I'm not sure  
if there is still a use for older -pre releases.

right, I've forgotten that part.
it was r2366, and I've just added the tag.

it's indeed related to our recent discussions on suppressing -pre.
this is not useful anymore, so I've just removed these too.
