I just read the fine manual about ACL usage. It seems like this is a part of the docs which have seen change, but some of it is not reflected in the ops manual. So, how do you enable ACL support? Is it only done one the MDS? Do you have to do it while running mkfs.lustre or can it be done afterwards? I''d really like not to have to rebuild my mdt. /Andreas -- Systems Engineer PDC Center for High Performance Computing CSC School of Computer Science and Communication KTH Royal Institute of Technology SE-100 44 Stockholm, Sweden Phone: 087906658 "A satellite, an earring, and a dust bunny are what made America great!"
I''m very old versions of Lustre it was necessary to enable ACLs explicitly, because of compatibility issues. In newer releases (1.8) they are always available. Is that no longer applicable either, or is there another way? We''re running lustre-1.8.3 at our site.
