[Lustre-discuss] Response to "missing lustre patch in kernel-source-2.6.27.39-0.3_lustre.1.8.3.src.rpm"
*This is a response to "**missing lustre patch in kernel-source-2.6.27.39-0.3_lustre.1.8.3.src.rpm" at http://groups.google.com/group/lustre-discuss-list/browse_thread/thread/8ab38da10293ec93. * I too am having this problem. I would like to follow-up on this issue because it seems that Paul hasn''t replied in a while. A couple questions had been asked: *What version of Lustre are you using?* I am using Lustre 1.8.3 for x86_64. It seems that so is Paul. *Where did the .spec file come from?* The .spec file came from the rpm " kernel-source-2.6.27.39-0.3_lustre.1.8.3.src.rpm" (md5sum 69a4197e26cb7d674930a8b778457511). Upon installing the rpm using "rpm -iv", the contents move to the rpm building directories under /usr/src/packages. The rpm becomes physically located in /usr/src/packages/SPECS . I would like to point out that in Paul''s sample output and in mine, the error says "cp: cannot stat `/usr/src/packages/SOURCES/linux-2.6.27-lustre.patch'': No such file or directory". A patch file is supposed to be in /usr/src/packages/SOURCES/, but the patches are all archived up in tar.bz2 files. Should this actually point to somewhere in /usr/src/packages/BUILD/kernel-source-2.6.27.39, where the patches are all extracted? :Andrew Moe -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
