[llvm-dev] LLVM 5.0 & 6.0 Ubuntu packages are broken/unstable
Hi, *Forgive me if I'm writing to an incorrect mailing list and if that's the case I'd like to know where to post the below message (or if you could be kind enough to forward it there).* I'm working on the Graal/GraalVM project and till recently I didn't have any issues installing LLVM 6.0 packages via the instructions on https://apt.llvm.org/, but since recently it has started to become unstable, see my build logs at https://gist.github.com/neomatrix369/5045c2e50a958105df1de2955e67f379. I get a similar message for installing LLVM 6.0, my installation script is here - https://github.com/neomatrix369/awesome-graal/blob/build-graalvm-suite/build/x86_64/linux_macos/installLLVM.sh . There are also inaccuracies on https://apt.llvm.org/, - not all of the packages get installed, see the last line of the log, it can't find few packages (see link above). I could go thru the simple method of just downloading the prebuilt binaries at http://releases.llvm.org/ but I like installing it via the Ubuntu package manager. Which method would you recommend, and is it possible to quickly fix the instructions on the https://apt.llvm.org/ to help everyone out?
