That last post I see on this mailing list is from November <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2016-November/106941.html> concerning the results of the survey. So I was wondering what the latest status for moving to github? -- Wnk -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Below are links to the full threads that Brian Cain mentions: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-January/thread.html#109008 http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-May/thread.html#112546 On Wed, May 24, 2017 at 12:06 PM Brian Cain <bcain at codeaurora.org> wrote: Here’s a more recent post - http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-January/109017.html Also, there was some active discussion on this semi-related thread (focusing on monorepo and not GH): http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-May/112751.html That said, it seems like a good time to check in and understand the current status. Hi Wink, You can already start playing with what a monorepo could look like: http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#for-developers-to-work-with-a-git-monorepo I recently posted on llvm-dev: As a reminder, the current status today and my position is the same as in January: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-January/109015.html ; which can be summarized as: "At some point, if the experiment is conclusive, we should be able to build a larger majority and hopefully reach a consensus that the proposed prototype can be considered viable for development and start planning the actual committing changes." See also Chris' answer for a more explicit version: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-January/109115.html Best, -- Mehdi 2017-05-24 9:29 GMT-07:00 Wink Saville via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org>:> That last post I see on this mailing list is from November > <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2016-November/106941.html> concerning > the results of the survey.
