Dear All Recently we noticed that outgoing traffic from APT repo increased significantly. It turned out that the 90% of these requests were originated from cloud hosting services (e.g. Amazon AWS / EC2, Google Cloud, etc) with the bandwidth of more than 25 Gb daily. We suspect that the majority of this traffic was generated from poorly configured CI systems that fails to cache the packages they downloaded. We strongly suggest everyone maintaining such a system to review the configuration and enable the caching / review the package fetching policies. Otherwise we will be forced to throttle the traffic to from APT repo to AWS / Google Cloud to allow better serving ordinary LLVM users.
