We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated software engineer to
help extend an existing OpenCL driver. Most of the work will be on the
OpenCL runtime, but parts of OpenCL compiler work can also be expected.
The contractor is expected to be working as part of a team, not on a
separately specified project.
Education & qualification:
You will need a good degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science / Software
Engineering, or an alternative with relevant experience.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Excellent programming skills in C/C++
* Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures
* Have a good knowledge of the OpenCL programming model
* Ability to work in a team as well as alone
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired skills:
* Experience in implementing (parts of) an OpenCL driver
* Good understanding of CPU and/or GPU micro-architecture
* Experience in LLVM/Clang
* Experience in parallelisation and vectorization
* Working effectively in extended teams across groups, sites and countries
* Developing for linux operating systems
* Exposure to large-scale software build, integration and test environments
Location of position
Ideally Cambridge, but we can be partly remote as long as the person can spend
some time initially in Cambridge and works well remotely.

ASAP
