[Icecast] Desperate for a decent icecast client for Ubuntu 12.04
Hi , I tried IDJC last night , but could not figure how to just stream the line in. It seems to be a great program but overcomplicated for someone who just want to send his mic output <-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> web perso : http://memeteau.org Boutique Ordinateurs GNU/Linux : http://shop.ekimia.fr <xmpp%3Afreechelmi at jabber.fr> 2012/11/14 Martin Hamant <martin at sound4.biz>> Take a look at http://idjc.sourceforge.net/ > > Cheers > > Le 14/11/2012 00:48, michel memeteau a ?crit : > > Hi, > > My friend who is not a techie have a small radio and they used to > broadcast live with a mic plugged no a Ubuntu PC. > > On Ubuntu 10.04 they used darksnow with the right config file and it was > OK. > > But now under 12.04 darksnow crash, butt is really difficult to start > wit etc.... > > > So simple question, is there any straight forward icecast client for > ubuntu 12.04 with a decent GUI ? > > > they doesn't need any special feature actually > > thanks > > <-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> > > web perso : http://memeteau.org > Boutique Ordinateurs GNU/Linux : http://shop.ekimia.fr > > > <xmpp%3Afreechelmi at jabber.fr> > > > > _______________________________________________ > Icecast mailing listIcecast at xiph.orghttp://lists.xiph.org/mailman/listinfo/icecast > > >-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Icecast] Desperate for a decent icecast client for Ubuntu 12.04
Hi I finalement sent a simple sh + darkice.cfg that launch Darkice with all the parameters . Actually we understood a bit too late that OSS is not supported on 12.04 anymore and thus we add to give an alsa path to specify the sound card. I plan on doing a simple web interface for Darkice, hasn't anyone tried this already ? thanks <-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> web perso : http://memeteau.org Boutique Ordinateurs GNU/Linux : http://shop.ekimia.fr <xmpp%3Afreechelmi at jabber.fr> 2012/11/14 kloschi <kloschi at subsignal.org>> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > On 11/14/2012 10:00 AM, michel memeteau wrote: > > Hi , I tried IDJC last night , but could not figure how to just > > stream the line in. > > > > It seems to be a great program but overcomplicated for someone who > > just want to send his mic output > > > > idjc works fine here, you could have a look into the jack patchbay to > see where you line-in / mic is connected. in the idjc gui you have at > the bottem two buttons which sometimes need pressing (I never figured > the definitive logic with that buttons :) ) > > you can also look into butt: > http://butt.sourceforge.net/ > > hth, > kloschi > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) > Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://www.enigmail.net/ > > iQGcBAEBAgAGBQJQo2KtAAoJEJhnRHRRn9Syga8MAInNKdEd5TqzWbW2A+CCBmRi > 3sXeAXlRG2cxfJCvu/qLA1KB83Cyo6Z8ZKWL57i4CByADIp2IRlDv4jfNOYxeDw0 > G/wVK0vdEXg0UMZBmZAI0MomRXZ8yeCqtHA0DCgWGjVRRmEC0lBDVnCY5yOqyzrU > 8vsFcZO3o9NNkNqxjxxOiBIKtB563z03Q31pG5BxYDACcaNyOsQP+IGUEOpRWJUa > daC9S2ewXlpPzvvcyo7aYmsiVqYcgBKMeHSYtWwdn2h8KQ1/Bgv+MP2WKJ1eeCXs > LRrGp1z7HXpz+2SDtkZwv4Mxq1P5pN1lSky/AOELSHgBf5NPUPFJy/X3HplmKvjJ > nz+BTNeSB8+3eAS1emGcKbo/S1SM1t6nMtJF9Hw/+fwYSAlNTrdM7CTulwO3EvCk > D1zPJzRi3F5+Ggrl9cbYJNgyTPG0dVAvYSDgl169k/SaFVkAJh145/SSBPvUEF8m > swa+VfNZOt5VITnFjlSpVaBjFipxJCzL4xaz/iE7Vw=> =FhQr > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > _______________________________________________ > Icecast mailing list > Icecast at xiph.org > http://lists.xiph.org/mailman/listinfo/icecast >-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
