Hello everyone,
I made a big effort to provide an mp3 stream on my site to please the
unenlightened masses, and then I see in my logs that it doesn't work
in Windows Media Player. Doh! There's no Windows machine around to
test on so if anyone could help me out, I'd be very grateful. I
couldn't find anything in the list's archive or on the web in general,
sorry.
Details:
The mp3 files are made from raw PCM data with
lame --silent -r -x -s 44.1 -f -V 6 --vbr-new file.pcm file.mp3
The mp3 files are piped to ezstream 'stdin' and out to the web with
icecast. The files are short (7 seconds) and are piped over and over
again.
It works fine with iTunes, RealPlayer, Winamp5.x, VLC, Whamb, but not WMP!
Here's a typical failed connection from the icecast access log

To try the stream, please go to

and click 'next' and then you'll see the mp3 link.
If you could send me the error message, that would be great!
Thanks and happy holidays,
Bob.
