not that I'm going to go out and immediately implement anything, but what would an icecast2 admin console provide in terms of functionality ? and please, no "whatever icecast1 does...put it in terms of icecast2 capabilities please... oddsock At 07:45 PM 2/24/2003 +0100, you wrote:>Hi there. > >On Mon, Feb 24, 2003 at 12:01:12PM -0500, Deva Seetharam wrote: > > Hello > > how do i log into the admin console of icecast2? > >There is no admin console in icecast 2. > >I would gladly offer a beer (even two) to the one who may implement it >as it was something that i feel was nice. > >There are some information about your streams available via http >(/status.xsl and some /admin/pages) but i m not sure if/what you can >change on the fly from those. > > >--- >8 ---- >List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ >icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ >To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' >containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Hello. I think it is possible to use a server for multiple streams, but i don't find a doc about that on the net. I would my server to be able to stream 3 ou 4 streams, how must I send them ? And at what adress will they avaible ? Because if i send streamto myserver:8000, there is only one stream, on myserver:8000 Thank Ruben <p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. That defines the full url that the stream is available from. In some cases, that mountpoint might just be "/" - so the url is http://server:port/, but it might also be "/example/mountpoint", so that the url is http://server:port/example/mountpoint The source client will specify some path to use. Hi there. This may already be done with some tail -f. Once commands like switching client mountpoints or get information for this client or source may be implementent in a console, i would be happy to have a icecast sort of shell. Note that if an http communication for status and sending order is planned, building a kind of shell in perl would not be a big problem, so i guess a console is not the main priority. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. There are no plans for a built-in console.
