Icecast - Aug 2004 - Always starts playing at the beginning of a stream

Thanks for the suggestion.  Yes, I have tried it already, but the result is
noticably worse than doing a "real" stream with IceCast.  I have tried
both web server and IceCast static/fileserv methods.

O well, I guess I would just have to live with it.

Noticably worse? In what way? If you create the "downloadable" stream
the same way as you've set up your live stream, I can't think of any
quality differences. It's really the same (all http streaming, nothing
out of the ordinary, same data).
