[BUG] worker stopping abruptly
I have been facing this damn ugly issue since quite sometime. So this worker reads RSS feed from Yahoo news and stores it in a DB. The worker is scheduled to run at every 40 minutes and my background_schedules.yml looks like this: feed_worker: :class: :feed_worker :job_key: :feed_worker_key :worker_method: :do_work :trigger_args: :start: <%= Time.now + 5 %>

3.6.10 file handle leak under ancient 32-bit kernel
Hello, I've come across a curious issue with Samba 3.6.10. When running 'emacs' version GNU Emacs 23.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.0.6002) of 2011-03-10 on 3249CTO on Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 and issuing a file "revert" of one sort or another against a Samba-served file, the 'smbd' process leaks two or three handles. Eventually, when 16k handles are open, this causes

Whole genome searching of 100bp "D" sequence
Hi, I was wondering I'm going about this in the correct way. I need to test if there are coding sequences or exons in hg19 which match a string of 100bp "D" i.e. [A,G or T]. However I'm getting a strange result. I get a hit on chr7, using the 100bp search however when I search with 60bp sequence of "D" I don't get any hits. library("BSgenome")

vectorisation
Hi I'm trying to set up a simulation problem without resorting to (m)any loops. I want to set entries in a data frame of zeros ('starts' in the code below) to 1 at certain points and the points have been randomly generated and stored in a separate data.frame ('sl'), which has the same number of columns. An example of the procedure is as follows: ml <- data.frame(matrix(sample(1:50,80, replace=TRUE),20,4)) mm <- a...
