It is not something I've set up myself before, just something I saw in the docs. But yes the servers can stream to other severs, and accept streams from other servers. Make for a fairly effective way to conserve bandwidth and balance loads. -Mark --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Do you mean that icecast can accept a stream from another icecast server and then distribute that stream to its "listeners"? If that's the case, is there anything special I have to do? - Peter --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Jaromil, thanks for pointing me at the icecast.conf file -- it's very well documented and I found the aliases info that I needed. - Peter --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
