[Dovecot] dovecot: pipe() failed: Too many open files
Hi stable 1.0 on FC3 , first time i have seen this. May 11 19:40:00 proteus2 dovecot: pipe() failed: Too many open files May 11 19:40:05 proteus2 last message repeated 41406 times had to stop and re-start dovecot to free the error. Any ideas what caused > it?1.0-stables are a bit old.. :) Possibly a bug, but also possibly dovecot process's file descriptor limit was too low and there were lots of users logged in at the time. In recent 1.0betas I've anyway fixed this so that it doesn't go to infinite loop but rather gives the error only once every few seconds and once there are again more file descriptors it continues without having to restart. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
