dovecot - Aug 2005 - dovecot-auth: BUG: login gave a PID of existing connection

hi,

first of all i have to say that i?m new to dovecot and to mailinglist. 
i?m trying to setup my owen imap-server on fc3, but i have some trouble with
dovecot. wenn i try to log in with

telnet lovalhost 143

/var/log/maillog says:

dovecot-auth: BUG: login gave a PID of existing connection.

can someone please give me an hint or a link to solve this problem.

That shouldn't happen unless something is seriously broken. Maybe try
installing another Dovecot version? 1.0-stable releases would be good
idea.
