Hmm. This crash should be now replaced with error "UIDs broken with
partial sync in mbox file ...". It still shouldn't have happened
though.

mbox_dirty_syncs means that it tries not to re-read the whole mailbox,
unless it has to. The error you got was caused by Dovecot thinking that
it had a non-dirty synced mbox but suddenly found that its UID headers
were broken, which shouldn't happen with non-dirty mboxes..
