[Dovecot] Invalid mbox file /var/spool/mail/username: No such file or directory
Hi dovecot-0.99.11-1.FC3.4.i386.rpm on FC3 when i create a user account with pop3 email i find that if i don't send and email to the account (so that sendmail creates the file under /var/spool/mail/testuser) where "testuser" is the users username. If the user logs in with Outlook or Outlook express they get an error and maillog shows. Apr 11 14:18:58 proteus2a pop3(testuser): Invalid mbox file /var/spool/mail/testuser: No such file or directory Apr 11 14:18:58 proteus2a pop3(testuser): Failed to create storage with data: mbox:/var/spool/mail/testuser if "testuser" file does not exist it would be better if Dovecot created an empty file IMHO. as a temp fix i now fire off emails to new accounts to avoid this.
