got a problem with b75 that the zone with ip-exclusive just takes the identity of the global zone. For the primary nic there is no option to set its ip and hostname. When i change the host name and ip the hostname does not change and the networking goes weird for both the zone and global zone. sparc eri qfe There any bugs about or should this work fine? Hello, John, I did some test just now and didn''t find any problem. However, the test system I have is b76 and with only e1000g NIC-s. Could you please give me some more informations? like how did you setup the network in global zone and the exclusive-IP zone? Actually I am not sure I understand this sentence: For the primary nic there is no option to set its ip and hostname. Hi i am back again Still trying to get ip-exclusive to work eri and hme drivers on build 77 - laggy as hell got no trouble with a test setup in ldom so it must be these drivers. If some one has got this working - what did you do??? This message posted from opensolaris.org
Ok details box netra t1 ac200 nics - 2x eri + 1 hme or 2x eri + 1 qfe had problems with b73 to b77 Ping out is fine 392 packets transmitted, 392 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip (ms) min/avg/max/stddev = 0.496/0.567/0.900/0.034 Ping in is horrible 597 packets transmitted, 58 packets received, 90% packet loss round-trip (ms) min/avg/max/stddev = 0.436/263.6/5.04e+03/958. So making it unusable. Shared ip is fine, works as expected. Also could be more of a zones problems in that the zone with ip-exclusive just takes the config of the global zones. Only happens on this setup. help! This message posted from opensolaris.org
