Erik Nordmark was the lead for IP Instances.

That looks like the same question ... I don''t know.

You can use "dladm show-link" to determine which interfaces on a given
system are native and which are legacy, but that''s not quite what
you''re asking.

On OpenSolaris device driver community, there was a long list about NIC 
drivers, but also not so up-to-date as Nemo page.
