This is not specifically a CentOS question but it relates to a problem I am having on CentOS-3. I though someone here might have come across something similar before. I use the JPackage provided java-1.4.2-sun-compat but it has recently switched arch from noarch to i586. Yum understandably refuses to upgrade this package. Should I bother with yum or just upgrade it manually? I would manually do the upgrade - R
