asterisk users - May 2014 - Adding a SIP header to a reject 503

Is there a way to add an X-Header to hangup(34), which translates to a 503?
I tried adding it before the hangup but it never gets transmitted

Not that I'm aware of.

SIPAddHeader won't help you.  Asterisk only sends the extra headers when you
use the Dial app.

You'll need to install a SIP Proxy in front of Asterisk if you want to
manipulate the SIP headers.
