asterisk users - Mar 2009 - Asterisk 1.6.0.6 sip doesn't work?

I tried upgrading to 1.6.0.6 but when i compile and install that, it seems 
that support for SIP is missing completely?

Reverting back to 1.6.0.5 gets SIP going again...
