Well then how can I monitor asterisk using net-SNMP. There should be someway
in which I can monitor asterisk.

We use mrtg, smokeping, asterisk -rx, etc but this has really become an
Asterisk-Users question.

You could use the Asterisk manager if you wanted too.

Hi, we use nagios with some customized plugins found in voip-info.org.

Nagios have a MIB module too. This probably can help you with net-SNMP queries.
