asterisk users - Mar 2007 - Which SIP method/option to display a short text message ?

Hi,

Using SIP methods and options, is there any way for a callee to send the
caller a short text message when the call is establishing ?

Scenario is :

Alice and Bob's SIP phones are registered to an Asterisk server.
Alice calls Bob : an INVITE message is sent to Bob's phone
Bob is replying : a 200 OK message is sent back to Alice with a short text
included ("Welcome to BoB Corporation")
Alice's phone acknowledges (ACK) and displays "Welcome to BoB
Corporation"
somewhere beside the dialed digits (Bob's number).

Hi,

After further research, it seems SIP MESSAGE rfc3428) and SIP INFO (rfc2976)
methods could be the more relevant for this feature.

I'm still wondering whether SIP hardphones or Asterisk implement these
methods in such a way you could make a welcome message, for example, appear
on you contact phone screen.
