SendText and non-ASCII characters
Hi, Is is possible to "translate" non-english text into ASCII text so that SIP phones would correctly display non-ASCII characters received from SendText() ? I think SIP MESSAGE (rfc3428) on which SendText() currently relies, defines "text/plain" Content-type but googling, I can't find a source describing what text/plain can or cannot be. Which SIP method/option to display a short text message ?
Hi, Using SIP methods and options, is there any way for a callee to send the caller a short text message when the call is establishing ? Scenario is : Alice and Bob's SIP phones are registered to an Asterisk server. Alice calls Bob : an INVITE message is sent to Bob's phone Bob is replying : a 200 OK message is sent back to Alice with a short text included ("Welcome to BoB

OT - SIP message encoding to enhance text display
Hi, I've read RFC3428 which presents SIP MESSAGE. Is there any extension or encoding scheme working with SIP MESSAGE that would enhance text display with blinking or underlining attributes ? This could be useful to notify SIP hardphone users with some important events such being in Do Not Disturb mode. Regards --------...
