Hi, I just read a pressrelease from VON that Digium will soon be releaseing a couple of new cards. What got me interested was: "The TE420P and TE415P support 128ms of G.168 (2002)-compliant echo cancellation across their entire 128 channels." Does anyone know when thease will be released and what they will cost when released? Thanks! http://pressroom.pulvermedia.com/digium/pr.php#0314c Regards, jan

Thanks! They will be released when they are ready, which will probably be no later than the end of this week. They will cost the same as the TE406P and TE411P, both of which are being discontinued in favor of this new product. -- Kevin P. Fleming Senior Software Engineer Digium, Inc.
I like the TC400P card, how many T1s will that take? or is it just a Daughter card on the TE4xx ? How many channels can it transcode? It's a separate device, entirely unrelated to any TDM cards (which means it can be used for any type of channel, not just TDM). The final specs for the number of channels are not yet determined, but we expect to do at least 100 channels of G.729 and/or G.723.1 per board. -- Kevin P. Can the TE406P card's VPM module be swapped for the new revision with Octasic chipset?> -----Original Message----- > From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users- > bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Kevin P. Octasic for TDM2400P and TDM400P? was: [Asterisk-Users] TE420P/TE415P?
When will Digium include the octasic on the TDM2400P? And maybe the TDM400P? Also how does the TE415P and TE420P differ from the TE412P card?

(sip G.729 to > voicemail)Your questions don't make much sense. The TC400B includes all the licenses needed for every call it can handle, regardless of how many that ends up being. There would be no advantage for the licenses to be used for 'other' calls, since if there is a license available the call should be sent through the hardware transcoder anyway. -- Kevin P. The newer board(s) will likely have Octasic module options, but nothing has been announced at this time.> Also how does the TE415P and TE420P differ from the TE412P card? The TE415P and TE420P do not exist; those were interim model numbers that were later changed to TE407P and TE412P to conform to the existing numbering system. -- Kevin P.
