Hi list! I have a Centos 4.3 box running Asterisk 1.2.9.1 with FreePBX 2.0.1 I noticed that this setup is keeping a full asterisk log which, after 1 month in production, has already grown to 1300 Mb in size. This is the log location : /var/log/asterisk/full Why is this on by default (I thought it is only used for debugging) and where can I disable it or at least have it rotated and gzipped like with other huge log files? Thanks!

First, you might want to bone up on basic Linux system administration. Do a google on "logrotate" and you'll get all sorts of information. Also, check the wiki for more info on fine-tuning Asterisk: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/logrotate Happy rotating! -MC
