Hi, it is now 3 months ago, that I told here, I were beta testing SS7 for asterisk. I promised to give a result afterwords - here it is: There are still some minor problems (maybe more a zaptel or hardware problem that a SS7 one), but in general it is running very stable. I assume the author will soon present some kind of licencing model. Roger.
Have you implemented some kind of device control protocol to a gateway, or do the IMTs terminate on the * box? Hi Mike, SS7 connects to the * box, with no other boxes next be involved. Of course, that box could be configured as a gateway, and act just like many of the SS7 converter boxes. Hi Angel, It is working pretty well. I think it will be available about the end of the year. I will not be free. It will be supplied with a commercially licenced Asterisk. I know that it is the protocol used by telecommunication companies for data exchange between their switches etc., but what do you need it for ? Christoph
