New to Asterisk's and loving it so far. Does anyone know of any functionality in Asterisk's (or more so phones) that allows line numbers to be lit up like a switch board on a phone? So that someone can page another person with 'call on line 3'. I'm not really a telco guy and are still learning terminology for things. Any idea's? -- Regards, JB Hewitt Business: http://www.stcpl.com.au Blog: http://blade.lansmash.com Best LAN ever: http://www.lansmash.com How to ask a ?: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

It should become evident that it isn't important what line a call is on, but rather the position the call is parked in. Or read about consultive transfer. There is no reason why you should have to ever reference a physical phone line. -- Steven Critchfield <critch@basesys.com>

Look in to call parking, it should perform the same task, albeit in a different manner.

With that software you can display a web page that tells you the status of the lines on your pbx along with some other information.
