Does the fxo zap channel answer the call from the phone, but never actually make the call? If so, what do you hear on the phone, silence/whitenoise/static? Just trying to determine if this is the same issue that occationally plagues me. Ryan
I have a system that has a TDM400 with 3 FXO modules. Recently, the system started not seeing the ports. No answer, no lines available for oubound dial, and only a reboot of the machine will bring it back. Any ideas to try? Mine (two FXO/two FXS) started doing that, and I had to keep unloading and reloading the driver to bring it back. Then about a week ago it just stopped seeing modules period, no matter what I do. I'm about to test it on another machine to make sure it's really dead and then RMA it. Maybe a bad batch of cards? When did you buy yours? I got mine mid-June, right after FXO modules became (briefly) available again. -- Joshua M. Thompson <funaho@jurai.org>

When it strikes the 2nd FXS module (in slot 3) goes mostly dead, I say mostly because it still recives rings but seems unable to go off hook. The phones plugged in to that jack ring, but when you pick them up it doesn't answer and the speaker pulses with the ring. If you pick up and try to dial you don't get a dial tone either. Both the 1st FXS and the FXO work relatively close to normal, the exception being worse then normal echo. This seems to take acouple weeks to happen and when it does I usually can just unload the modules, load 'em up and restart asterisk and all works again.
